Dear friends,

On behalf of the staff and professors of IESEG School of Management, I am pleased to welcome you to the AMS 2010 Cultural Perspectives in Marketing Conference.

The theme of the event is “Cultural Perspectives in a Global Marketplace” and the speakers and panel discussions will try to shed light on how marketing crossing the boundaries across national cultures and economies accelerates the emergence of a homogeneous global consumer culture.

Created in 1964, IESEG School of Management is a very distinctive and original institution; amongst the Grandes Ecoles – the French Guild of Higher Education Schools – it’s clearly one of the most international.

• Programmes meet international standards

• Teaching is completely delivered in English at the post-graduate level, as well as in the Bachelor’s senior year

• There is a stimulating cosmopolitan atmosphere in our School, with a student body comprising of 25 nationalities

• IESEG has developed a global network of 149 universities, in 35 countries

• Faculty is also widely multi-cultural with more than 15 nationalities currently teaching in our ranks

• Our research policy is aimed at publishing in the best academic reviews

We are proud to train managers that are capable of combining strategic vision with deep multi-disciplinary knowledge.

But overall, our goal is to help students build their future while developing a strong operational know-how, all of which in an exciting international and multi-cultural environment.

I would like to thank the Academy of Marketing Science for giving us the opportunity of organising such an event, the co-chairs the track chairs and the speakers for participating and sharing their invaluable experiences and also our students for helping us to make the AMS 2010 Cultural Perspectives in Marketing Conference the finest event of its kind.
